Coro is a well-known costume jewelry company that was founded in 1901 by Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger in New York City. The name "Coro" is derived from a combination of the first letters of their last names. Coro became one of the largest and most successful costume jewelry manufacturers in the United States, producing a wide range of jewelry items, including necklaces, brooches, earrings, and more. The company was known for its innovative designs, quality craftsmanship, and affordability. Coro jewelry was often marked with various signatures, stamps, or marks on the back to identify the brand.

Screwback Earrings:
Screwback earrings are a type of earring design that features a screw mechanism instead of a traditional post or hook. This design allows the wearer to adjust the tightness of the earring against the earlobe by turning the screw. Screwback earrings were popular during the mid-20th century and were often used for heavier or more elaborate earring styles to provide better support and security.
